A little about me, eh? I don’t think there is such a thing; I’m too complex. Kind of like Shrek said to Donkey in the first Shrek movie, “Ogres are like onions.” Although I am certainly not an ogre or an onion by the grace of God, I do have layers.

My English 102 professor said “We are emotional beings,” and I find that very true. Especially in myself.

There is a lot about me that even I don’t know about. Like, for instance, I didn’t know I had it in me to actually be a Lady Vol, but I was for a short amount of time. Rowing was fun, but I like my hands too much to have them fall apart so easily. Plus, the time commitment was incredibly high, and I couldn’t fit it into my schedule along with other more important things like getting experience in journalism and electronic media, for example.

In case you’re interested in the concrete, factual stuff as far as experience and whatnot goes, here’s a list of things I can do or have experience with:

  • Being a Twitter addict
  • Some XHTML, HTML and CSS
  • Intern reporter for the Knoxville News Sentinel (and here’s a list of articles)
  • Intern at Metro Pulse magazine
  • Reporter and beginning operations for Tennessee Journalist
  • Reporter for The Daily Beacon
  • Office assistant and marketing person for TRECS sports
  • Layout editor for Governor’s School for the Humanities newspaper in 2006
  • Experience working on high school yearbook
  • Some photography, watercolor and intaglio (printmaking)

Can you really find out about a person just by reading a description about them on a blog, though? I think not, and here’s why. One can only really find out about another being by being around them, by reading what they write. If they write so that it reflects their soul, you’ll really begin to understand and truly get to know that person for real.

Unless, of course, they’re just faking it completely, and that’s just cruel.

See, you’re already finding out more about me without me actually having to tell you facts. You’re getting to know my personality rather than all the technical, concrete stuff.
