Just heading into my second year of college, I haven’t had an extremely large amount of work experience, but I have had my fair share of other kinds of experiences, let me tell you. Experiences with death, love, heartbreak and change morphed me into the person I am today.

I’m strong because of it, but my heart isn’t hardened. I’m determined when it comes to things that really are important to me, but not (hopefully) over-powering or dominating.

Hopefully, I appear a well-rounded, friendly person with a lot to offer and an open mind on almost anything. I’m willing to learn new concepts, but want to keep my traditional beliefs. I don’t discriminate. I don’t hate. I try to love everyone I know, which can be a challenge with certain kinds of people, we all know!

Ah, but job experiences are as follows, since you may be interested and hopefully this list is enticing..

  • Intern at Metro Pulse magazine
  • Intern reporter at the Knoxville News Sentinel (Fruits of my labor here).
  • Editorial production artist for The Daily Beacon summer 2008
  • Layout designer for the University of Tennessee’s yearbook eVOLve
  • Knoxify writer/blogger
  • TRECS marketing and administration. Basically here, it’s a mix of administration, office assistant tasks and expressing creativity through creating fliers, handouts and displays on bulletin boards.
  • Reporter for The Daily Beacon. Pretty self-explanatory…
  • Reporter and Operations assistant for Tennessee Journalist. I wrote articles for Tennessee Journalist as well as helping to keep up the back end of the site and even helped to design it.
  • I’ll confess. I’m a Twitter addict.
  • I have some knowledge of HTML, XHTML and CSS for you web designers out there. Currently, I’m learning dJango, or at least taking baby steps in that direction…
  • My brother’s photography skills have rubbed off on me, so I’ve got that to offer.
  • Layout editor of Tennessee Governor’s School for the Humanities 2006. It was called The Potato Famine. No kidding. Best fun of my life. Amazing people, great learning experience with InDesign.

I think that sums it up. I’ll add stuff as my life and experience progresses, so keep checking back dear future employers. It would be to your advantage.
